The MRCOOL® Universal® Series 36K Air Handler offers a high-efficiency, performance-driven solution for year-round indoor comfort. Designed to meet the needs of modern homeowners, it’s the perfect upgrade for those looking to reduce energy costs without sacrificing heating and cooling performance.
Built for flexibility, the air handler features a multi-position design that allows for vertical, horizontal, or downflow installation, adaptable to a wide range of home layouts. Its compact footprint simplifies placement, while compatibility with the MRCOOL® NO-VAC® Quick Connect® line set (sold separately) makes installation even easier—eliminating the need for vacuuming, flaring, or handling refrigerant.
For enhanced functionality, the air handler supports optional Universal® Series Heat Kits, which can boost heating capacity during cold weather or serve as emergency backup heat.
Inside, the system features an advanced M-shaped evaporator coil that increases the surface area for better heat exchange, improved airflow, and higher energy efficiency. The coil is constructed from 100% aluminum for superior corrosion resistance and long-term durability.
